weave your word in me review

*******

Weave Your Word in Me -- Part 1 is a beautiful Bible study about the Lord's Prayer published by
Kid Niche Christian Books. I have enjoyed looking through this and am sure that you will love it for your upper elementary age students as well! When I received this product, it was pleasantly wrapped and carefully packed during shipping. I even received a letter from Susan Case Bonner in which she expresses her enthusiasm for writing this study. She clearly has a love for the Lord and the Bible. According to her, "boring and Bible do not belong in the same sentence." I love that!

The pages come printed in color, three hole punched, and ready for your binder. The pages are printed double sided on sturdy, thick paper. It isn't card stock, but it is a heavier weight than the usual, cheap paper that I buy. The cover design is gorgeous and inviting, perfect for inviting the tween to learn and study the Lord's prayer.

The instructions are written directly to the student so they can work independently--a blessing if you are a mom of several homeschool children. Students need a Bible, pencil, and dictionary to successfully complete the daily lessons. This Bible curriculum is compatible with six different Bible versions--King James Version, English Standard Version, New King James Version, New International Version, New American Standard Bible, and New American Bible Revised Edition. This is wonderful because whichever version your family is used to reading from will be able to be used successfully. No frustration!

This study is much more than just a Bible study. It is also a prayer guide. Each daily lesson is one front and back page long. Students read the passage written in bold and then answer questions or fill in blanks to help them understand what is being taught. The end of each lesson includes a prayer guide. Students can fill in the blanks and then pray that prayer to God.

Throughout the lessons, students will understand who God is and they will learn how to talk to him. The lessons are based around the prayer My Whole Self Before You, which is a prayer based on the Lord's Prayer, and written with a rhythmical pattern. The beginning pages of the student guide show the correlation between both prayers and how they are similar.

There are 80 lessons divided into nine lessons. The lessons are not long or hard to complete. If you complete one each day, Part 1 of these lesson will last for one semester. Or you could stretch these lessons over an entire year by completing two or three lessons per week. This is how I would personally use this curriculum for tweens. My kids are very active in Bible quizzing through our church, so they have plenty of Bible study material. I like that this is a different way to show them how to study.

This is a very thorough and pleasant Bible curriculum for teaching tweens all about prayer and linking the Lord's Prayer with their daily lives.
